USPA NEWS - Former Prime Minister Imran Khan's third open letter to Army Chief General Asim Munir:

I am not asking for any deal for myself or any concessions from anyone for my party - as a former Prime Minister and a patriotic Pakistani, I only want to restore the reputation of my army and the interests of my beloved homeland. Despite the fact that the army is fighting a war against terrorism and martyrs are being killed daily, there is no harmony between the people and the army due to the policies of the establishment.

I ask the ISPR not to give false statements. Repeatedly saying that the army does not interfere in politics is an insult to the intelligence of the nation. In this era of social media, nothing can be hidden, every child of the country knows that the army chief runs the system of this country. Be it rigging elections or buying and selling members of parliament, destruction of the judiciary or black laws prohibiting public voting, not only our conscious nation but also the international community knows which "unknown" hands are behind it. Therefore, I request them to refrain from making false statements because it only brings disrepute to the army as an institution.
I will highlight five points due to which Pakistan stands on the brink of disaster today:

1- Imposing faces rejected by the nation on the country through rigged elections:
The country is suffering a great loss due to this policy of the establishment. Until a few years ago, for whom countless stories of corruption like Surrey Palace and Mayfair Flats were being told to the nation, the entire state machinery and agencies were used to not only carry out the worst rigging before the elections but also on polling day and after that, the biggest robbery in history was carried out and imposed on the nation.

An attempt is made to create a narrative that the cases against the Sharif family and Zardari were political in nature, although the fact is that no NAB cases were filed during our era - intelligence agencies collected evidence of their corruption - General Ehtesham Zameer and Farooq Leghari had given their dossiers of corruption and money laundering worth billions of rupees, showing how corrupt these people are - NAB was not even under our control, General Bajwa controlled NAB - all the cases against them were filed before our era - during our era, only the Ramzan Sugar Mill case involving Maqsood Peon was filed against Shahbaz Sharif - this case has also been closed. The nation saw that these same NAB-tainted faces were put through the dry-cleaning machine of the deal and imposed on Pakistan again. This process of granting NRO through NAB amendments caused a loss of Rs 1,100 billion to the country's economy. If we combine the fabric of this fraud, all the puppet strings go to the same hand, and the entire blame falls on the army.

2 - The end of democracy: Democracy runs on ethics - Democracy can only run if the government has moral strength - After 30 years, democracy was gradually restored in Pakistan, the judiciary became independent through continuous struggle and the media was somewhat freed and the country was moving towards improvement. But first our government was removed through a conspiracy, then not only a fake government was imposed but the constitution was broken to impose it on the country again, elections were postponed, every tactic was tried before the elections, our symbol was snatched away through Qazi Faez Isa, our preferred candidates were removed from the field, and we were not even allowed to campaign for the elections - despite doing all this, when the people of Pakistan made us successful in more than two-thirds of the seats in the elections, the results were changed through Form 47 and a party that won only 17 seats was imposed on the country - and in order to hide this electoral fraud and in an attempt to crush the PTI, democracy has been completely trampled underfoot.
The report of the independent election audit organization “PATNA” is enough to open everyone’s eyes in this regard as to how 64 new methods of rigging have been adopted in this country, damaging democracy. All the pillars of democracy have been destroyed by imposing the worst restrictions on the media and violating human rights. People do not have the right to choose their representatives.
In short, all the basic pillars of democracy, including an independent judiciary, freedom of expression, a free media, and human rights, have been dismantled. Behind all this is a nefarious attempt to crush the PTI and cover up election fraud.

3- Wrong direction of priorities:
The whole world is moving forward, but we are moving in the opposite direction. Pakistan needs Deep Structural Reforms, which include strengthening institutions, rule of law, economic growth, increasing income, reducing expenditure, creating employment opportunities with a growing population, social security, law and order, and bringing new investment into the country. The secret of the country's development lies in the strength of institutions.

This is a difficult task and can only be done by a government that has a public mandate and moral authority - reforms are not the preserve of NROs and those who have taken power through fraud. There is a fake parliament, fake MNAs, fake ministers and a fake president!! Their agenda is only to maintain their dominance by spreading fear and panic (reign of terror).
Stability in a country comes when there is rule of law and the people enjoy freedom. Here, in the 21st century, even the internet is shut down. In this era of IT, people are not only dependent on the internet for educational and social purposes but also for economic purposes. Its disconnection is further damaging the economy,

which is already on the verge of collapse. In the World Justice Project’s Rule of Law Index, we are ahead of only a handful of countries after the 26th Amendment. In the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Democracy Index, we are moving from a hybrid system to an authoritarian/totalitarian system. Similarly, peace in the country will come only when we improve our policies regarding relations with our neighboring countries and make policies keeping in mind the interests of Pakistan. Our policy regarding Afghanistan is not serious. Due to this, we are facing the increasing scourge of terrorism.
4- Migration of skilled Pakistanis and capital out of the country:
The people are deeply disappointed with the atmosphere of oppression and lawlessness in Pakistan. Investors and skilled people are moving abroad in droves. The country's economy has lost an estimated $15 to $20 billion due to the migration of about 1.7 million people abroad in a period of two years. Economic instability is at its peak. The growth rate is zero and investment in Pakistan is non-existent. Poverty and unemployment are on the rise in the country - people are leaving the country at any cost, and news of people drowning comes every day, which proves how desperate the country is.

5- Human rights violations in the country:
The market of fascism is hot everywhere in the country. Everything that was done in East Pakistan, including the suspension of basic human rights and the violation of sanctities, is happening, and a tragedy like the fall of Dhaka took place. On February 8, once again, in an attempt to thwart our protest, raids were carried out across the country and the sanctity of the charred wall was violated.
This trend continues till now. The Punjab police has become more loyal to the Shah than to the Shah and has descended into mischief. In Wazirabad, the police did not even allow the funeral of one of our workers to be held.
If no action is taken against the serious human rights violations committed by the state in tragedies like May 9 and November 26, it is not possible for anyone to get justice in this country. On May 9 and November 26, our unarmed, pro-democracy activists were subjected to extreme cruelty and violence. Peaceful citizens were martyred by firing live bullets. Under the guise of political revenge, more than one lakh houses of citizens were raided in three years, more than 20,000 of our workers and supporters were arrested and hundreds were kidnapped and tortured, thousands of innocent people were kept in jails for months on false charges - people were deprived of their right to do politics. Civilians were put in military custody and tortured. The human rights situation in Balochistan is now engulfing the entire country.

Pocket judges” are being recruited for my cases - my lawyers are not allowed to go to jail for trial and journalists are also sent inside at will. All this is because after the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the justice system in Pakistan has completely collapsed and the law of the one who wields the stick is the one who controls the beast. The right to live is being snatched from the people. Until Pakistan is pulled out of this quagmire, the country will not move forward. -
It is time for the establishment to reflect on the above points and immediately change its policies in light of them so that the process of defaming the army as an institution can be stopped. What about the elite who loot the country's treasury and hoard it abroad? They leave the country on the next flight. Instead of spending the entire system and its energies on saving this group, there is a need to correct our priorities and think about the 240 million Pakistanis whose lives and deaths depend on Pakistan.

The only way for Pakistan's survival and progress is to transcend personal interests and learn from our mistakes and bring all measures and policies within the ambit of the constitution and law. "It is essential for political and economic stability and national security that the gap between the army and the people be reduced, and there is only one way to reduce this growing gap, and that is for the army to return to its constitutional boundaries, separate itself from politics and fulfill its assigned responsibilities, and this task will have to be done by the army itself, otherwise this growing gap will become fault lines in the term of national security." Said : former Prime Minister of Pakistan In his 3rd Open Letter to ASIM MUNIR Army Chief of Pakistan from ADIALA Jail
